What is Submit Service?

With Submit It! you can:

• use only one Master Form for each Web page you submit to multiple search engines
• choose from hundreds of search engines and directories, all organized by category and briefly described
• analyze your page to make sure that you've used the best elements for a good listing with the search engines
• announce to the top ten search engines with a single click
• run reports showing when you announced a Web page to each search engine and directory
• verify your Web site listing with the major search engines and Yahoo!

How long does it take before my Web site is indexed on the search engines and directories that I selected?

Even though we immediately send your Web page information to the server of the search engines and directories, it takes between one day and six weeks for your submission to become a listing. Usually, AltaVista and InfoSeek take only a few days to index your page. Most listings, however, will take several weeks, because search engines receive many submissions every day.

How will I know if my site has been listed?

Some directories will send you an e-mail confirming your request. This is not a guarantee that your site has been listed. The best way to confirm your listing is to go to the search engine and search for your site.

Note:  It often takes a few weeks for a listing to make it into a search engine.
